Man kills moose by repeatedly hitting it with truck

An Azilda man has been fined for striking a moose repeatedly with his truck.

According to Ministry of Natural Resources and Forests, on October 19th, 2017 an Azilda man reported a collision with a moose on Jay Lake in Chelsea Township.

Once conservation officers inspected the vehicle, they found it was not damaged.

Further investigation led to the conclusion that the man actually tracked the large bull-moose with his truck for nearly 1.8 kilometres, repeatedly striking the animal until the moose eventually collapsed.
