The annual Elliot Lake Ski Swap is being held from 9:30 to 2:30 on October 27th at the Mt. Dufour chalet.
This year, the swap is featuring both alpine and cross-country gear as well as snowboards.
The drop-off time for people that want to place items for sale at the swap is 5:30 – 7:30 the evening of October 26th.
There is a $2 per item sales fee for items placed in the sale, and 10% of alpine gear proceeds go to The Elliot Lake Ski Racers and 10% of cross-country gear proceeds goes to The Elliot Lake Cross-Country Ski Club.
Representatives from both clubs will be at the sale to help shoppers choose the best equipment for their needs.
This is a great way for people that are interested in taking up the sport to find quality equipment to get started with, and an excellent way for skiers to stretch their skiing budget.
Elliot Lake is lucky to have the great downhill and cross-country ski facilities that it does, and the two clubs see the swap as a great way to introduce Elliot Lake’s ski culture to those that are interested in taking up the sport.
