Elliot Lake city hall switching to wheelchair accessibility

Elliot Lake’s city hall is being modernized to meet modern accessibility standards.

City CAO, Dan Gagnon, says the front steps and ramp will be completely reconstructed with the work starting this Friday, October 12, and will last approximately four weeks.
During that time, access will be through the back door and signage will be posted.

However, the temporary access will not be accessible for patrons with wheelchairs or other similar mobility devices.

Anyone with mobility concerns can call ahead to arrange a meeting with staff at another location.
