Ladies were invited to lace up for the Third Annual Hip Chicks Fun Run/Walk in Elliot Lake.
Heather Ireland decided to start a run open to all women of all physical capabilities to take part at whatever pace suits them and just complete it.
She says the five-kilometre event held on Sunday, September 30th attracted 92 wonder women, received the support of some 44 businesses and individuals and had plenty of volunteers help out.
Ireland adds MPP Mike Mantha did an excellent job handing out carnations to all the participants as the crossed the finish line, including MP Carol Hughes who took part in the walk itself.
