A search is underway for a suspect after discovering an illegal outdoor marijuana grow operation at a home on the Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory.
Police issued an arrest warrant for 38-year-old David Bradley Shawanda of Wiikwemkoong who is facing several charges including marijuana production.
Wikwemikong Tribal Police and the OPP raided the home September 12th after receiving a tip.
Officers seized over 200 marijuana plants and items related to the manufacturing and cultivation of cannabis marijuana with an estimated street value over $300,000.
Do not approach Shawanda and anyone with information is asked to call police or Crimestoppers.
