SIU autopsy – Sudbury shooting

An autopsy begins today in Sudbury to determine how a man died in Garson after barricading himself against police.

The 63-year-old was found dead in a home after a police tactical squad went inside.

The Special Investigations Unit says the man had a gunshot wound.

The incident began Wednesday evening when Sudbury police were told about a woman being seriously injured after she was shot.

Her injuries are not life threatening.

The man held off police until a specialty squad from Barrie went into the home early Thursday afternoon and found him dead.
