The author of a series of books about extraterrestrials in the local area has passed away.
Brian Horeck was well known for four books all set in Northern Ontario: Minnow Trap, Minnow Trap 2, Frozen Beneath and Frozen Beneath 2.
Born and raised in Sudbury, he spent most of his life in Blind River, Elliot Lake, and most recently, in Aurora.
Horeck passed away on Monday, September 10th.
