The Township of Sables-Spanish Rivers presented their volunteer awards to three recipients.
Last night, the Junior Volunteer of the Year was presented to Quynlan Vuorensyrja.
A member of 4-H, he is active in sports, helps with children’s activities, and is actively involved in assisting at the Walford playground and outdoor rink.
The Senior Volunteer of the Year was awarded to Gail Whalen (WAY-LYNN).
Gail has been an active member of the Walford Community Centre Board since its inception in 1985, has served as the catering convener and is an advocate for youth and seniors’ programming in the community.
And, the winner of the Business Success Award is John’s Auto in Massey.
Since John and Gayle Wright established their business in 1995 and it has flourished as a complete auto repair and maintenance centre since.
