Rainbow Schools/Veterans Transportation wear pink

Look for plenty of pink on school buses and in school yards.

Staff and students in Rainbow Schools, as well as bus drivers with Veteran’s Transportation, are wearing pink today to mark the eleventh “Stand Up Against Bullying Day”.

“Stand Up Against Bullying Day” began in Nova Scotia when secondary school students Travis Price and David Shepherd wore pink shirts in support of another student who had been bullied for wearing the colour.

The Province of Nova Scotia subsequently declared the second Thursday at the start of every school year to be “Stand Up Against Bullying Day”.
