Ontario Northland now travels to area hospitals

Residents in Algoma, Manitoulin and Sudbury Districts now have another way to make it to their hospital appointments.

Ontario Northland has started a service where its buses will stop at six area hospitals in the north.

Those include Health Sciences North in Sudbury and the Sault Area Hospital.

The ONTC says passengers have to go to a regular Ontario Northland pick-up point, board the bus and head to the hospital.

The service runs daily for both hospitals except Saturdays for the Sault health care facility.

The other four hospitals the ONTC has included in its run are the hospitals, in North Bay, Timmins, Temiskaming and Englehart.

The service is designed for people who don’t have access to a vehicle or want to leave the driving to someone else, Ontario Northland can now help you make your hospital appointment.
