The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forests has removed the fire ban for most of Ontario, but the local area is still under restriction.
All communities from Sables –Spanish Rivers Township in the west, extending east of North Bay and south of Killarney are still under a provincial fire restriction, so no open burning is allowed.
Also, several municipalities still have bans in place.
Check with your local municipality to see if this is the case.
Elliot Lake and Sault Ste. Marie have removed their municipal bans.
