Espanola’s Annual Mixed Baseball Tournament starts tonight at the Red McCarthy Ball Fields at 7pm with a home run derby.
Hosted by the Zee Jays Mens team, nearly 50 teams will converge in Espanola from across the province.
Men and women will take part in the regular round robin tournament, but will also have the opportunity to show off some of their skills.
The Home Run Derby kicks off the bragging rights competition at 7:00pm Friday evening.
There will also be prizes for best costumes and with the Hippy theme, the colours will be wild and crazy.
Food and drink, as well as an adult bar, are all set up for the weekend, so the entire family can come out and cheer on their favourite team.
