Rainbow Concrete owner charged in connection with 2017 fatality

The owner of Rainbow Concrete has been charged with criminal negligence causing death.

Fifty-six-year old, Boris Naneff, the owner of Rainbow Concrete in Sudbury, was charged Monday in connection to a February 15th, 2017 fatality at the company’s headquarters on Maley Drive.

His next court date is set for Sept. 26.

Rhéal Dionne died while driving a dump truck to haul snow when he drove through an archway and part of it collapsed on the vehicle.

The Ministry of Labour has also laid 12 charges against Rainbow Concrete, its owners and two supervisors in relation to the same incident.
