Blind River OPP asking for help – fuel theft

The Blind River OPP is investigating several thefts of diesel fuel on the Mississagi Bay Road area in the Municipality of Huron Shores.

A week ago Sunday around 9:00am, police went to a logging area on Mississagi Bay Road where over 200 litres of fuel was stolen from a portable fuel tank at the logging landing.

The next day, another 300 litres were stolen from an excavator that the same logger owns along Highway 17, west of Eastman Road near the Town of Blind River.

Two days later, another theft of fuel took place from the portable fuel tank at e tsame Mississagi Bay Road logging site.

Police say the estimated value of the fuel is over $800.

Anyone with any information is asked to call police or Crimestoppers.
