As part of the Hwy 6 Connecting Link Reconstruction Project, Second Avenue will be closed at the intersection of Hwy 6/Centre St on the west side.
The closure will be from next Monday, July 30th to Thursday, August 2nd.
This closure is necessary for the installation of the new water main across the intersection.
A temporary detour for heavy trucks and vehicular traffic requiring access to Second Avenue will be in place.
From the south end of town coming in from Manitoulin Island, the detour will be Queensway Avenue West to Mead Blvd North to Second Avenue.
From the north end coming into town from Highway 17, the detour will be Mead Blvd West to Second Avenue.
Temporary detour signs will be in place during the construction.
