A major water improvement project is well underway in Whitefish River First Nation.
Ceccetto & Sons Limited of Sudbury is building the water tank with the supports now in place and the construction of the main tank underway.
The elevated storage reservoir will serve the community’s drinking water needs and provide sustainable water pressure to improve fire protection to the community’s 450 residents and infrastructure.
The federal government is providing $3.5 million toward the project and construction is expected to be completed by October 2018.
