Taxpayers of Manitoulin Island are not happy with the Rainbow District School Board.
Kim Bilbija says the board’s barring of Manitoulin Island trustee, Larry Killens, is not acceptable and taxpayers no longer have representation at the table as to how their tax dollars are to be spent.
The board has barred Killens from any future meetings until November 30th, after the election, saying Killens has breached the code of conduct, but Killens says that is not true and he is not a yes man for the board.
Bilbija say there will be a Town Hall Meeting on July 25th at the Mindemoya Community Hall at 7:00pm to discuss the issue.
Board Chair Doreen Dewar, Director of Education Norm Blaseg and Killens have all been invited to attend.
