Heat Wave continues in North Shore corridor – Manitoulin Island

A heat warning remains in effect from Thessalon east to Killarney and including all areas in between including Espanola, Elliot Lake and Manitoulin Island.

Environment Canada says the daytime temperatures will be near 30 degrees again Tuesday through Thursday, with humidex values in the mid-thirties.
Low temperatures overnight will be in the high teens to low twenties providing little relief from the heat.
Another cool down is expected by Friday with the passage of another cold front.

Still with the story, Sudbury Public Health says extreme heat affects everyone.

Watch for the effects of heat illness: swelling, rash, cramps, fainting, heat exhaustion, heat stroke and the worsening of some health conditions.
