Elliot Lake Kiwanis Park (Rio Den arena) hosts ribbon cutting

Elliot Lake’s Mayor officially held a ribbon cutting to mark the occasion of the opening of the new splash pad at Kiwanis Park – Rio Den arena.

The $150,000 investment was requested by the Youth Advisory Committee in 2016 and approved under budget.

The park also has a go skate section.

Mayor Dan Marchisella hosted the ribbon cutting with several of its young users taking part last Friday afternoon.

The park opened for a few weeks last summer, but council had always planned a ribbon cutting to mark the opening of the facility this year.
