Massey family has Go Fund Me for new wheelchair-accessible

Massey family has Go Fund Me for new wheelchair-accessible van.

A campaign is underway to raise enough money to buy a new wheelchair-accessible van for a Massey family and their handicapped daughter.

Julien and Lisa Richer’s 15-year-old daughter, Emily, was born with a rare condition that has affected her neurologically.

Lisa says Emily needs a trach to breath, is developmentally delayed, is blind and has seizures, so she requires constant care, at home and during hospital visits.

She adds the van is a 2007 model and they are starting to have major problems with it, but it is imperative to have the means to travel to Sudbury and Toronto for Emily’s medical care.

To that end, a Go Fund Me has been set up for the family to raise the $40,000 they will need.

Anyone who prefers to give funds directly to the Richer family can contact them at 705-865-1441.
