Algoma District School Board Approves 2018/19 Budget

The Algoma District School Board has approved a budget for the 2018-19 school year of just under $160 million dollars.

The board will have some one-time expenses buying new servers, new iPads and Winbooks, as well as some building and ground improvements.

Additional math lead teachers will also be hired and supports put in place for safe schools and special education needs, including multi-disciplinary teams.

As well, capital improvements will include refreshing classrooms and exteriors sites, some $12 million to be spent there.
