Homeless men in Elliot Lake will now have access to a newly furnished temporary shelter.
Larry’s Place in Elliot Lake officially opened its doors this weekend.
In 2016, Maplegate House for Women, which is run by the Elliot Lake Women’s Group, unveiled the ‘Something More’ project.
In January, Elliot Lake council gave the organization the go-ahead for the new shelter and in February, the Coldest Night of the Year campaign successfully raised $20,000 to furnish the new residence.
