If someone tells you to go fly a kite, you now have the opportunity to do so on Manitoulin Island.
This Sunday, members of the Western Manitoulin Community Garden are hosting Come Fly a Kite afternoon.
The garden at the driving range on Hwy 540 in Gore Bay will also include garden planting, making pollinator balls, building birdhouses and quilting block painting on wood.
Geared to the children, there will be games, music and food from 1:00pm to 5:00pm,
Bring your own kite or purchase one for $2 for the first 100 kids.
Compete for the highest flyer, most colourful, longest kite tail and best homemade.
The OPP, Fire Department and EMS staff will be on hand to talk about their jobs.
