Tim Hortons knocks socks off the Camp Day record this year

Tim Hortons four local area franchises blew the socks off this year’s Camp Day.

Last year, franchises in Espanola, Elliot Lake, McKerrow and Blind River raised $10,500.

Denis Lefebvre says his three franchises in Espanola, McKerrow and Blind River raised $12,000 this year, and of that, $5,200 was raised in Blind River.

Erin Brunelle, the manager of Tim Hortons in Elliot Lake adds another $5,866 to that bringing the total raised this year to $17,866.

With that total, a minimum of eight children from the Espanola, North Shore corridor, Elliot Lake and Blind River area will be sent to camp this year.

The Moose was on site throughout the day and joined various volunteers from police to fire to hospital staff in helping out with the popular annual fundraiser.
