Walk for Alzheimer’s Surpasses Goal

The Investors Group Walk for Alzheimer’s, which took place in Sudbury, Little Current and North Bay, was the most successful one in over 20 years.
This year was the largest and saw over 400 participants raise over $50,000 on Sunday.

Stephanie Leclair, Executive Director at the Alzheimer Society Sudbury-Manitoulin North Bay & Districts, says all three events were fantastic and the awareness that has grown amplifies the need for the programs and services they provide.
She added it was encouraging and motivating for families and staff and to see such support on a large scale was nothing short of amazing.

The organization serves over 5,000 people in the communities of Sudbury, North Bay, Manitoulin Island and surrounding areas.

Funds raised from the walk remain local and support vital dementia support, programs and services that improve the quality of life of those affected.
