The election and the digital age

Results for the 2018 Ontario Election are expected to come in fairly quickly as Elections Ontario has now entered the digital age.

Algoma-Manitoulin election clerk, Lila Cyr, says there are around 100 polls in the riding, and of that, only one in White River is not electronically tabulated, so voters will find out results within minutes following the closing of the polls.

Cyr adds there are 16 super polls in the riding and so advanced polls results will also be released shortly after the polls close.

The Moose will begin its live election results when the polls close at 9:00pm.
