The Six Hour Radiothon for the Society for Animals in Distress, held by The Annual Moose FM 94.1, was a success.
Alexander Morning Host, Bob Alexander says there was a barbeque, bake sale, fresh candy floss and popcorn for all to enjoy, and a toll booth on Ontario Avenue with all proceeds going to the animal shelter.
Alexander adds donations were made from all around the area and beyond, including Southern Ontario and as far away as Inuvik.
The event held on Saturday raised over $5,146 and counting.
