Busy weekend for Algoma Manitoulin: PRIDE, SAD and so much more…

A busy weekend across Algoma Manitoulin. Starting Friday with Free Public Seminar on Occupational Disease in Mining and McIntyre Powder Research at the Lester B. Pearson Civic between 1 and 4pm. There will also be a Special reception to welcome the Ontario Network of Injured Workers Group and cyclists for the 2018 Justice for injured workers Bike Ride, between 7. and 9.pm.

This weekend is Pride Weekend in Elliot Lake, the evening begins Friday night with reception at the Fire Side Bar and Grill, Saturday the Lester B. Pearson Centre is the site for a Public Barbecue and Saturday Miss Conception in Concert at the Lester B. Pearson. Tickets for the show available at the Civic Centre.
Also a busy fund raising weekend. This Saturday the Society For Animals in Distress are holding the annual Radiothon on the Moose 94.1 from 10am to 4pm. A barbecue will be taking place outside our Studio at 144 Ontario avenue and Bake Sale. The public are invited to drop down and make a donation for the cause at the Moose Studio, or the Sunshine Shop, also you can call in your pledge at 705-848-3608.
This Sunday its the annual Lions Club Walk for Guide Dogs, starting from Pet Value at Noon. Registrations begins at 10.am. Pledge forms available at Pet Value. Again that is this Sunday starting at Noon from Pet Value in Elliot Lake, the annual Walk for Guide Dogs.
