Elliot Lake’s The Moose 94.1FM CKNR hosting radiothon for SAD

The Moose 94.1FM CKNR in Elliot Lake is preparing for one of its biggest radiothons of the year.

Elliot Lake’s Society for Animals in Distress, commonly called SAD, will host one of its major fundraisers of the year next weekend in partnership with The Moose.

The May 26th Radiothon will feature live on-air coverage, plenty of special guests and stories, and so much more.
Besides popcorn and cotton candy, there is a barbecue and bake sale.
Donations for the SAD animal shelter at 33 Perini Road will be accepted on site, as well as at the station.

The shelter provides various services

  • find homes for pets whose owners are unable to continue looking after them.
  • provide boarding services for dogs on a daily or weekly basis.
  • spay and neuter all animals that come to our shelter at our own expense, this helping to prevent pet overpopulation.
  • ensure animals leaving the shelter are healthy and have been fully vaccinated, dewormed, free of fleas and have been seen by a veterinarian in case of illness.
