Neighbours feud over finger flag

A Serpent River man finds himself facing charges following a dispute with his neighbour over a flag.

East Algoma OPP says a flag was removed from a property on Riverview Road in the Village of Serpent River back on May 1st.

The night before, the complainant flew a flag with a human fist displaying the middle finger and attached it to a utility trailer on the edge of his property, and he also set up a digital motion game camera catching images of his neighbour ripping the flag off his trailer.

As a result, a 58-year-old man from Serpent River was charged with mischief under $5,000, and trespassing.

He is to appear in Blind River court on July 5th.
