Still with Education Week, local schools will be showing off their skills at the annual Skills Ontario competition in Toronto.
Skills Ontario is Canada’s largest skilled trade and technology competition and offers a unique opportunity for top students to demonstrate that they are the best of the best in their fields.
Cambrian is sending 24 students to Skills Ontario, with 28 students joining Team Sudbury from Rainbow Schools and five from Sudbury English Catholic Schools.
Winners receive Gold, Silver or Bronze medals and the opportunity to compete at the Skills Canada National Competition.
This year’s Skills Ontario competition is being held May 7-9th at the Congress Centre in Toronto.
