Espanola council will be giving its final approval to the hiring of students for the summer.
Council has had several discussions about hiring students especially concerns about the overall cost.
However, Espanola’s CAO, Cynthia Townsend, says the town has been approved for some grant funding, which will offset some of the costs for a couple of the students.
Council set a resolution at the sub-committee meeting approving the hiring of eight students for the summer months, which is expected to pass at this week’s regular meeting.
