Motor collisions down from last year in Espanola

Motor collisions are down in Espanola over the same time period last year.

Espanola Police Sergeant Bill Gardiner says in the first three months of 2018, there were 13 reportable motor vehicle collisions involving 23 vehicles.

These numbers are down from the same time period in 2017 when police investigated 22 collisions involving 41 vehicles.

He adds 38% of the collisions involved unattended motor vehicles, and 77% were either parked or reversing vehicles.

The Espanola Police Service, in partnership with Accident Support Services International, compiles statistics relating to motor vehicle collisions in the jurisdiction of the Espanola Police Service.
