Charges Laid in 11 Commercial Break and Enters

Two Sudbury men are facing charges in connection with multiple break-ins.

Police say they received 11 reports of “Smash and Grab” type Break and Enter complaints from businesses in the West End of the city between March 1st and April 10th.

Specialized police investigators caught two men breaking into a business on Kathleen Street around 3:30am on Tuesday night.

The 29-year-old is charged with 11 counts of break and enter, three charges of wearing a disguise with intent to commit a crime and 11 breaches.

The 47-year-old is charged with one count of break and enter, carrying a concealed weapon, obstruct peace officer by providing a false name and breach.

Damage to the buildings is estimated at around $7,000.
