People living on Manitoulin Island will have a new bus service in place next month.
The Ontario Northland Transportation Commission (ONTC) is launching its new bus-transportation system initiative for Manitoulin Island on April 9.
The service will provide an intercommunity bus service between Sudbury and Manitoulin Island.
Commission communication manager, Renee Baker says they are still working backwards from that date to finalize agency locations along the route and, once finalized, will publicize the schedule.

Baker stressed the commission wants to implement a service that will be successful, provides the kind of service needed and makes sense.
She added that schedule will likely be tweaked after six months of operation.
