Transport driver denies texting, but charges follow

Get ready to let officers take a look at your phone if you are on the road.

East Algoma OPP had pulled over a driver last Wednesday who denied he was texting while driving.

However, the officer asked if he could have a look at the driver’s cell phone and reviewed numerous text messages minutes before the traffic stop.

Police were responding to a traffic complaint where the tractor trailer was all over the road on Highway 17 near Huron Shore.

A 38-year-old man from Spanish was charged with texting while driving.
