Possible bone marrow donors needed for Espanola boy

The Moose reported yesterday that an Espanola youngster is fighting cancer and there might be a need for the public to help donate bone marrow.

Nine-year-old Blake Bond will need a bone marrow transplant in Toronto as part of his treatment.

His mother, Kayli, and sister, Haileigh, have undergone testing and are waiting for the results.

If they are not a match, help from the wider community will be sought.

If you would like to help, you can call Canadian Blood Services at 1 888 2DONATE or go to: www.blood.ca to see if you could be a match to become a bone marrow donor.

All this is required is to fill out a questionnaire and register for the nation wide database.
