East Algoma OPP catch pair after truck stolen in Kenora

A man and woman from Windsor wanted in Kenora, Wawa and Sault Ste. Marie have been caught by East Algoma OPP.   The case starts in Kenora where a pick-up truck was stolen and used to later steal gas in Wawa.  OPP in Sault Ste. Marie spotted the stolen pick-up but couldn’t stop it.  The truck was finally disabled in Huron Shores when East Algoma OPP laid down two spike belts.   However the driver and passenger escaped again this time by running into nearby woods.   A short while later OPP saw two people in another vehicle and although the driver tried evading police, the vehicle landed in a ditch.  OPP determined the occupants were the same people connected with the stolen pick-up.   They face numerous charges including flight from police and theft of a motor vehicle.
