Elliot Lake and Espanola is under a rain warning today. Environment Canada says the rain is expected to continue for much of the day dropping between 25 and 40 milliliters and may fall heavily at times before turning to snow later this afternoon or evening. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible as the frozen ground has a reduced ability to absorb this amount of rainfall. Meteorologists are keeping an eye on the rain and fog and will give updates if any changes happen.
