Following two public sessions last week in Elliot Lake, two local school boards are looking at all options and consulting the public.
The two schools being reviewed are Georges Vanier and Villa Francaise des Jeunes.
French Catholic communications manager, Brigitte Morin, says the boards are talking about sharing spaces while remaining two distinct schools.
Morin add there are two options for entrances renovations, both estimated at around $2.8-million
One would include a new drop off location for Georges Vanier, as well as for the daycare or the second is having the two schools and the daycare use the same entrance.
The proposal needs to be reviewed and approved by the board.
If approved, it would then be sent to the Ministry of Education for approval.
If all the approvals go through, it could then take 3 years.
Morin adds the board is meeting on January 30th to explore all the options.
