An engineering company has been hired by the Town of Espanola to look at the fire hall.
Espanola council has agreed to hire McIntosh Perry to look at costs for either refurbishing the fire hall, adding to it or a new build.
Council hope to have the results in the near future, since the 2018 budgeting process is also underway.
The cost of the study is just under $34,000.
Council also has to decide when a pumper truck should be purchased to satisfy insurance and emergency plan requirements
