The South Porcupine OPP has released the name of a man who died in a fatal vehicle colliison.
Last week, on January 4th, the OPP responded to a collision involving a passenger van and a commercial motor vehicle on Highway 144, about four kilometres south of Highway 101.
The collision claimed the life of 59-year-old Gilbert Cheechoo of Moose Factory.
The driver of the commercial vehicle was treated for minor injuries and released.
The police are continuing their investigation to determine the cause for the collision.
