OPP Investigate Three Fatal Motor Vehicle Collisions

Three OPP detachments in the north-east are investigating three unrelated fatal collisions.

Temiskaming OPP responded to a fatal motor vehicle collision on Wednesday just before noon.

The collision occurred just south of Earlton.

A northbound tractor trailer collided with a southbound flatbed, five-ton truck.

The driver of the southbound vehicle, Remi Breault, 44, of New Liskeard was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the northbound vehicle sustained minor injuries.

North Bay OPP responded to a fatal motor vehicle collision yesterday at 7:12am.

The collision occurred on Highway 17, west of Dube Road in East Ferris.

A westbound passenger car and an eastbound passenger car collided head-on.

A passenger in one of the vehicles was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The drivers of both vehicles were pronounced dead at the scene and are identified as Stephane Terbovc,) 27 and Gertrud Boron, 80.

Both lived in the Township of Bonfield.

And, the third collision occurred before 1:00am yesterday, on Highway 144.

The South Porcupine OPP say the collision involved two vehicles.

Police confirmed a male has died as a result, but no name has been released.

The investigations into all three incidents are on-going.
