Sault Ste. Marie Police looking for new police chief

A new police chief is being sought in Sault Ste. Marie.

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service Board and Chief Robert Keetch agreed to end their employment relationship, but the reason or reasons behind the move are not known.

Board chair Donna Hilsinger says the board will begin the search and hiring process in January, 2018.

The board thanked Chief Keetch for his service and his willingness to support the police service until his successor is hired.
