Charitable organizations looking for extra funding for special projects have until January 19th to apply for the United Way program.
The United Way of Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma District is now accepting applications for the District Grants Program.
To be eligible, an organization must: be a registered charity with an office in the district that surrounds Sault Ste. Marie between White River and Spanish; be governed by an active volunteer board and show a need for financial assistance.
Application forms and budget templates are now available online at ssmunitedway.ca
Application deadline is January 19, final decisions will be made by March 27th and funding will be received by successful applicants April 2018.
