The Espanola OPP say it looks like a transport that lost its load of logs on Wednesday was run off the road.
OPP Officer Marie Ford says the collision on Highway 17 near the Old McKerrow Motel involved a logging truck and a pick-up truck.
The pick-up truck was west bound, the tractor trailer was east bound and attempted to avoid the collision.
She says the logging truck lost its load of logs and ended up on the train tracks.
The pick-up driver was transported to hospital with serious injuries.
The logging truck was removed from the tracks.
The highway was closed for approximately two hours.
The investigation is continuing.
