The Elliot Lake Fire Fighters Food Drive was down again this year from last year.
According to a release from the Elliot Lake Food Bank, this has been a trend over the past five years with the use of the bank rising yearly.
Total food value received this year was $38,650, compared to $44,000 in 2016.
One positive note has been the monetary donations during this year’s Food Drive, up slightly from last year with $3,897 being donated compared to $3,133 last year.
Contrary to an earlier press release, The Moose had received inaccurate information in regards to the final total and apologizes for the error.
