Two students from Espanola High are facing assault charges.

Back on October 23rd, Espanola Police were called to the high school.

Officers determined two female teens were assaulted by two other female teens while they were on lunch break and away from the high school.

As a result, the 16 and 17 year old females from Sagamok-Anishnawbek First Nation were arrested and charged with assault and choking.

They are to appear in Espanola Youth Court on December 11.
