Gélinas demands to know where promised PET scanner is

The tender for a PET scan for Health Science North in Sudbury has yet to go to tender and is now delayed until 2019.

Nickel Belt MPP France Gélinas is demanding to know why the Wynne Liberals continue to let down the people of Northern Ontario by dragging out the wait for a promised PET scanner.
Gelinas says the local portion of funding has been raised, but it was reported last week that the timeline for the PET scanner at Health Sciences North has been delayed to 2019.

The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care is part of the holdup – having not yet issued approval for the PET project to go out to tender, she explained.

The PET scanner has been a promise since December 2015.
