The Elliot Lake Women’s Group is hosting a community consultation to discuss their plans
According to a press release, the Elliot Lake Women’s Group, also known as Maplegate House for Women, is inviting the public to attend a community consultation to discuss an expansion to their emergency services.
At this time, they offer emergency shelter for women at risk of or experiencing abuse.
They are looking at expanding housing for women on Lawrence Avenue and a six-bed shelter for men on Mississauga Avenue.

The services are to be added in 2017-2018.
The consultation will take place on November 27th at 6:30 pm at 25 Dunn Road, the location at Bingo Plus.
